Until last year the hospitality industry lacked a truly international five-star status. Now the best hotels from each country, including those that have been purpose-built for conventions, golf, spa, airports or resorts, are sought for global recognition. In the first of this year’s regional heats, the most outstanding hotel projects across Asia Pacific have been singled out for their green credentials, excellent architectural merit and design. Eighteen different countries took part and the competition was extremely keen with entries across the board being of the highest standard. The presentation of awards was held in Kuala Lumpur at the culmination of a two-day Property & Hospitality Summit on April 26^th and 27^th at the J. W. Marriott Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

To celebrate the festive holidays, Sherwood Residence welcomed tenants to “The Sounds of Christmas Joy” on 17th December 2011. Welcoming guests to the beautifully decorated mezzanine floor was Santa Claus.

As guests entered the holiday themed function room, they were treated to Christmas songs played by Ms. Thuan on the piano. Once all the guests had found their seats, Ms Tanja Kessel gave her opening remarks to officially kick-off the party.

To start the evening, guests were treated to a darling ballet performance from the children of Sherwood Residence. Guests also listened to delightful songs performed by two young girls residing at Sherwood Residence.

To guests’ amazement, Mr. Mai Dinh Toi played a collection of beautiful yet bizarre instruments. Known around the world as Vietnam's "wizard of musical instruments“, he used a variety of wind, string and percussion instruments to entertain the tenants. Finishing off the performances was a vibrant, graceful tango performance from Mr. Brian and Ms. Floriencia.

For dinner, the guests were treated to a delicious Christmas-themed buffet at the Club restaurant. And afterwards, children were invited to a special Christmas card painting activity. To close the night, Santa Claus gave away special gifts including chocolate and souvenirs to all guests.

On 23rd November 2011, Sherwood Residence and Mayfair Suites are proud to co-host “Seizing Opportunities”. This event features information regarding amenities and conveniences of Sherwood Residence and Mayfair Suites.
